What’s your breast shape?
Up until Senior Secondary/High School – i attend a boarding school-, i thought the female body was the same. I mean, us women all have the exact same or very similar breasts and vaginas right? But i couldn’t have been more wrong. Showering everyday for 3 years in a communal bathroom with no privacy whatsoever changed my perception. Why was my breast shape different from Shade’s, from Mary’s and even my sister’s?
Have you ever stared at yourself in the mirror and asked yourself this exact questions about your breast shape and what these shapes are called? That makes you and every other girl, so, I decided to do my research and find some answers.
After much digging underneath the thick layers of google upon google pages, I stumbled across an American lingerie brand called Third Love that categorized women’s breasts into 7 distinct shapes via it’s Breast Shape Dictionary. The good news is that these categories they’ve created are practical and carefully thought out, however, the bad news is that one size seven shapes don’t exactly fit all. In a few “not so rare occasions”, a woman’s bust shape could fall into not just one but two of the categories.
All exceptions aside, here’s the perfect little breast shape glossary a lá Third Love that could help you solve some of your bra fit issues, starting with figuring out what breast shape you have. Take a look.
