SPOTTED! – Lingerie Inspired Looks from Couture Fashion Week

Couture Fashion Week is buzzing. Chanel’s mirrored walls, Elie Saab’s Egypt Princess collection, Dior’s dainty catwalk and Giambattista Valli’s super fluffy and over the top gowns.

Most of all, with all of that excitement and was more exciting yet fancy tickling runway moments. I’m talking about every time the couturiers gave us lust worthy pieces inspired by the one thing we love even more than fashion itself – LINGERIE!

From Alberta Ferretti who, inspired by sleepwear, used chantilly lace to give us slinky robes and negligee, to Jean Paul Gaultier’s brilliant play on swimwear and tailored suits. Alexandre Vauthier low key gave us the most noteworthy styling tips on how to rock our bustiers as outerwear (even on jeans, you gotta love it!). Ulyana Sergeenko showed us we could pair them with floor length skirts or incorporate them into our power suits and Jean Paul Gaultier finally solidified corset as outerwear trend, while Versace also gave us a brand new take on harnesses.
